I set up AMD Interior architecture over 12 years ago. Whilst creating individual interiors and branding for shops, bars and restaurants we have neglected to tell anyone about ourselves! In putting together this website I hope to showcase what we have been up to.

AMD are an enthusiastic and talented team of designers and architects headed up by myself. My own career in retail design has included working with, Terence Conran, David Mellor, Priscilla Carluccio and David Linley to name a few. Early on I recognised there was room for a design consultancy that didn’t just work to a formula or follow the retail trend of the day. We aim to be visionary and to offer a point of difference. I believe the projects we have worked on demonstrate this.

Our philosophy is to create unique and exciting environments, that react to the existing architecture of a building as well as our client’s identity. These spaces must intrigue, inspire and be a comfortable place to be in.

We are often asked to design bespoke fixtures and fittings as well as furniture and lighting for each project, This may include designing unique pieces from scratch, sourcing antiques or customising found objects. This has led us to have our own workshop to produce one off items. Some of these items we sell through this website and also at The Conran Shop and Few and Far. Markets and collecting are a passion of mine, it’s good to work with a passion.

At AMD we have a very broad range of experience and have the ability to conceptualise, produce detailed drawings for construction and project manage through to handover to the client. This sometimes includes creating and an entirely new brand identity or revamping an existing brand. Again we have the ability to carry this through from concept sign off to final production.

We strive to understand and respect the old whilst we embrace and create the new.
