In mid 2007 we were commissioned to create a pair of unique and visually stunning chandeliers for a private client with a keen eye for detail. The main challenge with this project was to balance the structural and visual requirements of the frame in relation to the shades. The result is the Oval Snowflake Chandeliers presented here.

Each arm of the frame was designed to carry the considerable weight of the lead glass shades, yet remain slender enough to complement the delicacy of the glass. The meld of our design and choice of polished stainless steel achieved our goals while enhancing the overall appearance as the radiant colours of the shades are reflected in the arms.

As with our Helical Chandelier, this was a joint project with Anthony Stern.  Each shade is hand blown by Anthony in his London studio. We designed and manufactured the frame and installed the chandeliers at the client’s site, with Anthony’s assistance.
